I didn't choose immigration law by chance—it has always been part of my story.
I was born and raised in Puerto Rico, where family, faith, and resilience shaped who I am. My paternal grandparents made the difficult decision to leave everything they knew behind in Cuba to seek freedom, bringing my father over as a baby. Growing up with their story gave me a profound appreciation for the sacrifices immigrant families make and the immense courage it takes to build a new life.
That perspective has guided my entire career.
Professional Journey & Credentials
After earning my bachelor's degree with honors and my Juris Doctor from the University of Florida—a proud "Double Gator"—I dedicated my practice exclusively to immigration law. For nearly two decades, I have represented individuals and families navigating some of the most difficult moments of their lives, from deportation proceedings and detention to humanitarian protection and family-based immigration.
Immigration law is constantly shifting. Navigating it demands more than just a deep knowledge of statutes and regulations; it requires creativity, strategic thinking, and sound judgment under pressure. More than that, it requires the ability to guide families with genuine compassion through intense uncertainty. Anyone who has ever worked with me knows that I fight tirelessly for my clients.
Leadership & Advocacy
To stay at the forefront of emerging legal issues, I remain deeply involved in the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), where I have served in leadership roles, chaired committees, and presented on major developments in the field.
I also had the privilege of serving as President of the Palm Beach County Hispanic Bar Association and was appointed to the Palm Beach County Criminal Justice Commission, working to advocate for greater access to justice.
Throughout my practice, I have remained fiercely committed to pro bono service, particularly for children and survivors of abuse, neglect, and violence. I truly believe the law is at its best when it protects the most vulnerable.
Family & Mission
Yet, of all the roles I have been blessed to hold, the one I cherish most is being a mother. It reminds me every single day of the human element at the heart of my work.
My mission remains simple: to approach every case with integrity, compassion, and the unwavering determination to find solutions where others only see obstacles.
